Delete your Lumber Man account
App: Lumber Man · Developer: Gallant Oath
Lumber Man creates an anonymous online account (no name, email or password) to back up your progress and put you on the leaderboards. You can delete it, and everything stored with it, at any time.
Delete it in the game
- Open Lumber Man.
- Open Settings, then Online & privacy.
- Tap Delete online account, then tap it again within a few seconds to confirm.
- You'll see "Your online account was deleted." If it says it couldn't reach the server, connect to the internet and try again.
The button appears while the game is connected to your online account.
Ask us by email
If you can't use the button (for example, you've uninstalled the game), email support@gallantoath.com with the subject "Delete my Lumber Man account". To help us find your account, include:
- your Support ID, shown at the bottom of Settings → Online & privacy, if you still have it;
- your leaderboard name (for example "Lumberjack 3F9A") and roughly your best tier.
We'll confirm by email once it's done, within one month. If we can't match the details to an account, we'll tell you.
What gets deleted
- Your online account and its random ID
- Your cloud save (your game progress stored online)
- All your leaderboard entries and your public leaderboard profile (name, rank title, prestiges, best tier, cabins and equipped items)
- Any linked sign-in records
In-game deletion removes these from our live database immediately. An email request also deletes your gameplay statistics (analytics events) when you include your Support ID.
What is kept, and for how long
- Database backups: nightly backups are kept for 30 days, so deleted data is gone from them within 30 days.
- Gameplay statistics: deleting your account in the game doesn't remove analytics events already sent. These carry no name or email and are deleted automatically after 1 year, or sooner if you ask us by email with your Support ID. You can stop them being sent in Settings → Online & privacy → Share gameplay stats.
- Your progress on your phone: stays on your device, so you can keep playing offline. Online features stay off until you tap Go online again, which creates a brand-new account. Uninstalling the game removes the copy on your phone.
- Your email to us: kept as a record that we handled your request.
